Because she could not survive on the streets, she lived safely inside a cage at Atebba Veterinary Clinic for over six months. Finding Her Home & Her New Name During a routine clinic visit for one of our clients' pets, we met Flash. Seeing her gentle eyes and remarkable resilience, we knew she couldn't spend her life inside a clinic cage—and she could never survive outdoors. We opened our home to her right away, and given her constant, adorable wobbly movement, her name quickly evolved from Flash to Shakira! Because her constant tremors prevent diapers from staying in place, she relies on personalized, hands-on assistance every single day when using the washroom.
